Benjamín Lira

Born in Santiago, lived in the United States between the years 1970 and 1990. Then he moved to Santiago de Chile and became a fellow of Academia Chilena de Bellas Artes del Instituto Chile, among other accolades. His work focuses on the expressive potential of the human figure, covering both painting and drawing, collage, printmaking and more recently in ceramic sculpture. He has exhibited extensively and his work is included in important public collections and museums, both in Chile and the United States and Canada.
